Donating

The COA has limited space for donations but if you have something that might be of use to another senior please give us a call. If we can’t take it, we may know of someone else you could contact.

Medical Equipment Donations

The Acton Nursing Service keeps an inventory of commonly needed durable medical equipment including but not limited to: walkers, canes, bed rails, commodes, raised toilet seats, wheelchairs, transport chairs, shower and tub benches. If you have similar equipment to donate and it is in excellent condition, please call Acton Nursing Services at 978-929-6650.

Financial Donations

The COA is not set up to accept donations directly. The Friends of the COA is our fundraising organization. If you wish to support the Friends of the COA, please fill out and return this form. No gift is too small, monies go towards our programs, classes and meals. Tax deductible donations may be made out and sent to: The Friends of the Acton COA, PO Box 2006, Acton, MA 01720-2006.

Other Donations

Please contact the COA office before bringing anything in. We have an active group of knitters who are always looking for additional yarn. Ideally they can use 'full' balls or skeins of clean yarn. We are happy to receive recently published novels in good condition, and on occasion, jigsaws (1000 pieces). Novels in large print are especially welcome. At times we may suggest other places to donate as our space is limited and as such cannot accept large donations.
